Building Designers, Businesses and a Stronger Industry
Interior design shapes how Kenyans live, work, learn and do business. It contributes to real estate, hospitality, retail, workplaces and public spaces while creating opportunities for designers, firms, suppliers and manufacturers.
IDSK provides the structure needed to develop this growing sector into a stronger, more professional industry. We build professional capacity, connect education with practice, expand market opportunities and advocate for clear standards and recognition.

The Interior Design Society of Kenya (IDSK) is Kenya's sole industry association for interior design. We represent the sector in its entirety — interior designers, design firms, suppliers, manufacturers, educators, students, and industry partners — and we work to raise standards, develop industry capacity, and give interior design in Kenya the institutional standing it deserves.
To build a vibrant, recognized, and economically empowered interior design industry that transforms spaces and communities across Kenya.
To empower interior design professionals and partners through education, advocacy, and collaboration — fostering innovation and excellence in every space we shape.
We are located at:
5th Floor, NHIF Parking Tower
Nairobi, Kenya
IDSK membership is open to interior design practitioners, design firms, suppliers and manufacturers, educators and trainers, students in design-related fields, and industry partners and collaborators across the built environment sector.
Members access professional development programmes, mentorship, and accredited training. They join an active industry network spanning interior designers, suppliers, developers, and financiers. They benefit from IDSK's advocacy work, gain visibility through the Interior Design Directory and sector platforms, and participate in workshops, forums, and events that are directly relevant to growing a design practice or business in Kenya.
IDSK hosts roundtable discussions, industry workshops, networking events, training sessions, exhibitions, and collaborative forums throughout the year. Events are open to members and, where relevant, to the broader interior design industry in Kenya.
